Staffordshire Development XI executed a fine run chase to defeat Warwickshire Academy.
Staffs were set 271 to win the 50-over contest at Bignall End on Tuesday.
And they timed their chase to perfection to clinch a five-wicket victory with three balls remaining.
Tom Moulton set the tone at the top of the order with 66, which came off 90 balls and included 10 fours and one six.
His lead was followed by James Abbotts and skipper Jack Redman, who also contributed half-centuries.
Abbotts hit four fours and four sixes in his 59, while Redman’s 50 included five fours.
And that set the platform for Hasan Ahmed and Sam Atkinson to put the finishing touches to the victory mission.
Ahmed walked off unbeaten on 37, with Atkinson chipping in with 16 not out.
Warwickshire had earlier amassed 270-9 from their allocation – and it was pretty much a one-man show.

Levi Gekis (22), Ben Blakemore (19) and Edward Batchelor (17no) also made handy contributions.
Clark Haddrell and Moulton both picked up a couple of wickets.
Staffordshire faced a tough challenge, but they rose to the occasion to bank an excellent victory.
