Staffordshire Development XI enjoyed the ideal day as they claimed twin wins from their Twenty20 matches against Wales at Tamworth.
Staffs prevailed by 55 runs in the opening encounter, before doubling up in the second contest by clinching a six-wicket success.
Ethan Berlusconi was in sparkling form for Staffordshire, hitting half-centuries in both matches to play a key part in the victories.
Berlusconi started off the day by smashing 91 to form the backbone of Staffs’ 186-6 from their 20 overs.
The Ockbrook & Borrowash batsman’s innings contained nine fours and one six and came off just 67 balls.
Alec Price (24), Rohan Vallabhaneni (21) and Amir Khan (20) were also in good touch.

Jamie Grimshaw and Joseph Norman shared four of the wickets to fall.
Several Wales batters managed to make starts in their run chase, fronted by Ryan Collier’s 34.
Sam Aplin made 21, Grimshaw compiled 18 not out and Jake James and Ethan McCarthy weighed in with 17 apiece.
But Wales were always behind the rate and eventually drew stumps on 131-6.
‘Top bowling’
Wales took first use in the second match, but struggled to find their fluency as Staffs delivered a disciplined bowling performance.
Collier top-scored with 40 and Jack Billington added 22, but Wales were restricted to 127-8 from their allocation.
Ed Batchelor, Harris Ajaz and Tom Smith all claimed two wickets for Staffs.
Lower order helps Development XI to victory over Cumbria
Staffordshire were struggling on 26-3 in their reply before an 88-run fourth-wicket partnership between Berlusconi and Price turned the tables.
Price eventually fell for 34, but Berlusconi saw matters through as he finished unbeaten on 65 to seal a six-wicket triumph.
His second half-century included seven boundaries and one six. Jack Williams scooped two wickets for Wales.
