Staffordshire and Twenty20 cricket has never been a happy marriage – but there could possibly be a reconciliation on the cards.
Defeats, some of them heavy, have littered Staffs’ attempts to master the short format of the game since it was introduced on to the National Counties Cricket Association circuit in 2015.

Staffordshire have always appeared to be better suited to 50-over and Championship cricket, but there were signs at Porthill Park today that the romance may have been found to enjoy some memorable days in the NCCA competition.
