Jack Redman to lead strong Development XI side against Cheshire

Jack Redman captains Staffordshire County Cricket Club Under-21s against Worcestershire Academy.

Staffordshire County Cricket Club’s Development XI make the short trip across the border to play Cheshire 2nd XI tomorrow.

The county’s side head to Elworth for a 50-over contest in the North of England Cup.

Staffordshire were due to start their campaign last month. However, their game at Northumberland was called off because of the weather.

The game against Cheshire, on Wednesday, is a 50-over per side contest. Play starts at 11am.

Staffs have named a strong side for the fixture, with Audley’s Jack Redman as captain.

There are plenty of players with NCCA experience in the line-up, including Sam Atkinson, Callum Hawkins, Tom Moulton, Anis Raza and Scott Winnington.

Ockbrook & Borrowash batsman Josh Lacey will also be looking to impress in the encounter.

Admission to Wednesday’s game is free and refreshments will be available.
