Staffordshire Development XI beat their Cumbria counterparts by three wickets in their 50-over clash at Moddershall & Oulton.
Cumbria won the toss and elected to bat, but despite Kian Larmour making 20 early on, found themselves in trouble at 39-5.
There was a rebuild of sorts with Donovan Zealand chipping in with 22, but when he fell, the visitors were 92-6.
It then required half-centuries from Joshua Brown and Alister Craig to steer Cumbria to 190 all out.
Brown hit four fours and three sixes in his 56, with Craig’s 53 not out containing five boundaries.
Edward Batchelor picked up 3-31 for Staffordshire, with Amaan Tariq and Amir Khan taking a couple of wickets apiece.

Rohan Vallabhaneni helped Staffordshire to make a handy start to their chase with 39.
Niall McHale weighed in with 17, but at 90-5, Staffs needed some help from the lower order to keep their mission on track.
Jack Hammond’s 28 chipped away at the target, but there was still work to do at 131-7.
Staffordshire found a way, though, with Ollie Tucker’s 33 not out and an unbeaten 32 from Batchelor steering the home side to the winning line with two-and-a-half overs to spare.
Ethan Hardie-Knight was the pick of the Cumbria attack, finishing with 4-32.
