Staffordshire made a winning start to their NCCA Knockout Trophy campaign with a three-wicket victory over Wales at Himley.
The forecast indicated that there was little prospect of play in the south of the county, but the bad weather relented long enough for the teams to contest a 35 overs per side match.
And Staffs made the most of the break in the elements after successfully chasing down Wales’ 179 all out to win with 10 balls to spare.
