Signed from Bedfordshire ahead of the 2023 campaign, James marked his first season as
Staffordshire captain by leading the county to the NCCA Twenty20 Cup.
The 31-year-old right-hander, who plays his club cricket for Checkley, has scored more than 4,000 runs at this level.
James once again captains Staffordshire in all three formats in 2024.
