Same again for Staffordshire as they prepare for Lincs clash

Staffordshire County Cricket Club head coach Andy Carr addresses the players

Staffordshire have named an unchanged side for their final NCCA Championship Division One East match of the season.

Lincolnshire are this weekend’s visitors to Checkley. And Staffs have stuck with the same XI which clinched a 10-wicket win at Norfolk this week.

The victory, coupled with Buckinghamshire’s draw with Lincs in a rain-affected encounter at Chesham, saw Staffs move to within eight points of the table-toppers.

That leaves Staffs needing to win, and pick up 21 points or more, to ensure that Bucks must win their final match of the season at Suffolk next weekend.

Lincolnshire make the journey having drawn their first two games.

The weather saw their clash with Suffolk end in a stalemate at Sleaford. The rain then saved them from defeat at Buckinghamshire this week.
