Staffordshire Development XI had the better of their draw with Cheshire in their two-day North of England Cup encounter.
Staffs are one of a number of sides who put development or academy sides into the competition which involves playing Twenty20, 50-over and two-day matches.
Staffordshire have impressed so far this season and showcased their skills at Weston.
The match may have been drawn, but Staffordshire did bank bonus points for securing a first-innings lead in the contest.
