Staffordshire have named a 13-man squad for Sunday’s NCCA Showcase Game against Warwickshire at Knypersley.

Staffs are missing paceman Liam Hurt due to club commitments, meaning they have a young-looking attack to take on the Bears.

And there are plenty of youngsters looking to make an impact with the bat for the home side after head coach Andy Carr announced his squad.

Warwickshire are without the services of a host of players because of Test and Hundred duties.

However, they still make the trip to Tunstall Road with a strong-looking side as they fine-tune their preparations for the Metro Bank competition.

Ed Barnard captains a team which includes opening batsman Rob Yates, who has previously played for Staffordshire in NCCA cricket.

Admission prices are £7 on the day, but can be purchased in advance for £5 from Knypersley Cricket Club.

Staffordshire members and under-16s are free of charge.

Warwickshire members can gain entry for the advanced price of £5 on production of their Bears membership card.

Play starts at 11am and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
