Staffordshire to field debutant in key NCCA Championship clash

Staffordshire have made one change to their side for tomorrow’s NCCA Championship title decider against Buckinghamshire.

From the side which beat Suffolk this week, Leek seamer Rory Haydon is unavailable because he is featuring for Derbyshire 2nd XI.

He has been replaced by his club-mate Lewis Moulton, who will be making his senior Staffordshire debut.

Moulton, aged 29, is the second-highest wicket-taker in NSSCL Premier A this season with 40. He is just two behind Hem Heath’s Liam Banks.

Moulton will join younger brother Tom in the side at High Wycombe as Staffs look to clinch the Division One East title.

They head into the contest four points clear of their hosts, while Suffolk and Lincolnshire – who meet in the other game – can also still top the table.

Staffordshire: James Kettleborough (cpt, Checkley), Matt Morris (Westhoughton), Tom Moulton (Leek), Reeve Evitts (Kenilworth Wardens), Michael Hill (Meakins), Callum Hawkins (Moddershall & Oulton), Sam Atkinson (Moddershall & Oulton), Lewis Moulton (Leek), Liam Hurt (Flixton), Oliver Tucker (Meakins), Tom Brett (Finedon Dolben).
