Tickets for Staffordshire’s ‘Showcase’ game against Leicestershire are now on sale.
The 50-over per side match will be played at Knypersley on Sunday, July 31 (11am) – and both counties are hoping it will be a case of third time lucky staging the fixture.
The game was initially added to the programme in 2020 as part of a restructure of minor counties cricket, which saw the competition renamed the National Counties Cricket Association.
All 20 NCCA teams were given the chance to take on a first-class county every year until the summer of 2024.
However, although some clashes took place in 2021, Staffordshire’s contest against Leicestershire has been cancelled for the past two years because of the coronavirus pandemic.
