Staffordshire have made once change to their squad for this weekend’s NCCA Knockout Trophy game against Buckinghamshire.
Staffs have recalled Scott Winnington to the 12-man party, with experienced batsman Peter Wilshaw dropping out for the game at Moddershall & Oulton on Sunday (11am).
That leaves Staffs with a decision to make at the top of the order. Wilshaw has opened the batting in the first two Group Four games alongside Callum Hawkins.
It looks like either Matthew Morris or Nils Priestley are the two likely candidates to partner Hawkins this weekend.
Staffordshire opened up their 50-over campaign with victory over Wales, but were then beaten by Wiltshire at Smethwick.
Last Sunday’s trip to Dorset was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of the weather.
That means Staffordshire need to win on Sunday to give themselves a chance of qualifying.
They must then wait until next weekend’s final round of matches before knowing their fate.
