Staffordshire name squads for Northumberland and Cumbria NCCA T20 matches

Staffordshire have announced their squad selections for their NCCA Twenty20 Cup Bank Holiday fixtures.

Staffs entertain Northumberland at Burslem on Sunday and then visit Carlisle the next day to play Cumbria.

Staffordshire are the defending T20 champions, but saw last week’s games against Cheshire at Checkley abandoned because of the weather.

Head coach Andy Carr has added Ashcombe Park’s Anis Raza to the squad for Sunday’s game against Northumberland.

On Monday, Tom Brett and Hishaam Khan are unavailable. Audley’s Jack Redman is included in the party.

Matches on both days start at 11am and 2.30pm.

The other Group One matches between Northumberland and Cumbria last week also fell foul of the weather.

So Staffs know what they need to do in order to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

The top two from each of the five groups, plus the two best-performing third-placed sides, will advance to the Super 12s stage.
